AARP Health Innovation@50+ LivePitch Winners Announced

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- AARP and LivePitch Media today announced announced the winners of the third AARP Health Innovation@50+ LivePitch, a showcase of the hottest startups in the “50 and over” health technology market. AARP Health Innovation@50+ LivePitch was held Friday, May 9 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. AARP LivePitch is powerful because not only does it give startups face-to-face access to venture capitalists and angel investors but to thousands of AARP consumers who will be there as well. Half of our previous finalists in the past 2 years have gone on to raise approximately $25 million in funding. This year’s expert Judges included: Shirley Bergin, Partner, COO/CMO, TEDMED, Graham Brooks, Principal; .406 Ventures, Lynne Chou, Partner, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers; Peter Grua, Partner, HLM Venture Partners; and Krishna Yeshwant, General Partner, Google Ventures. 190 startup companies applied, including 10 LivePitch finalists and five Speed Pitch Finalists.  It was a tough fight but the winners prevailed.
