NASHVILLE, TN--Cybera, Inc., the premier provider of network connectivity and security solutions, has completed development of an embedded serial conversion interface in Cybera ONE’s secure application appliance for the petroleum industry. This pioneering interface eliminates the need for a dedicated NIC (Network Interface Card) by establishing a direct connection to a fuel retailer’s ATG (Automatic Tank Gauge) network in order to access Titan Cloud Software’s industry-standard applications for remote fuel inventory monitoring and environmental compliance. This development helps Cybera address the entire market of Automatic Tank Gauges, saving customers up to $1,000 per site, while establishing their ability to connect to Titan Cloud apps.
Cybera will preview and showcase the new technology at the upcoming NACS Show, Oct. 12 – 15 in Atlanta.
Convenience stores will realize tremendous benefits from the solution, including:
Avoiding the costs of a dedicated NIC card to retrofit existing systems
Fewer network devices and components reducing complexity
Plug-and-play installation that can be completed by in-store personnel
High availability with 3G/4G wireless failover
Customers with existing Cybera ONE SCA-315 appliances can add Titan Cloud apps with no upfront costs
24/7 secure remote cloud access to fuel tank inventory, deliveries, and alarms from any browser on any device
Fuel usage and run-out projections with charts and graphs
Flow-rate monitoring to identify slow-flow/ no-flow dispensers and track equipment degradation
Ability to subscribe to additional cloud apps to optimize in-ground inventory levels, receive instant ATG alarms, and meet environmental compliance reporting demands
The Cybera solution is available immediately for all Veeder-Root tank gauge systems, which are the majority of installed tank monitoring systems. Other gauge manufacturers to come.
Greg Merriman, co-owner of Tiger Management Group, is eager to implement the solution – as it will further simplify network operations at the company’s convenience store locations throughout the Southeast. TMG currently uses the solution for their Exxon-branded locations and is eager to deploy the cost-effective embedded serial interface solution at their other branded locations.
“Cybera publically committed to delivering an embedded serial conversion solution for tank monitoring, and has followed through as promised,” said Merriman. “This is a big money saver for Tiger Mart because it eliminates the need to purchase single purpose NIC cards from Veeder Root for each store. It also automates the process of monitoring and reporting to meet our EPA compliance requirements for fuel tanks. Now we can simply print a report at any time to fulfill our compliance obligations, it really is that simple,” Merriman said.
“Our strategic partnership with Cybera addresses the complex connectivity issues we often face in delivering our cloud applications to the industry’s retail and commercial fuel facilities,” said Rob Boughton, director of marketing for Titan Cloud Software. “The Cybera solution solves this need economically, while at the same time addresses many of the broader network security issues customers struggle with.”
Cybera ONE is quickly becoming the premier network solution for distributed enterprises in many different vertical markets, such as retail, restaurant, health care and financial services. Cybera ONE’s unique Application Defined Network (ADN) solution is changing the way enterprise networks are designed. Leading petroleum companies such as Shell and Exxon Mobil have already deployed Cybera ONE ADN services throughout the U.S. and are currently deploying globally. ADN services operate similarly to Software Defined Networking (SDN) services which are changing how data centers operate. ADN services address how businesses connect to cloud services and corporate data centers where SDN technology resides. Cybera is the leading Software Defined Networking (SDN) services company with more than 20,000 sites deployed.
“Cybera is excited to deliver on such an innovative and economically beneficial solution to our customers. The Cybera ONE solution continues to reduce the costs and complexity of enterprise network,” said Cliff Duffey, Cybera president and CEO. “Our partnership with Titan demonstrates how Cybera ONE not only benefits corporate enterprise, but cloud service providers as well.
