The fast-growing company, which sells its care team communication and workflow solutions including HIPAA-compliant text messaging to in-patient hospitals reports that earned revenues for the most recent trailing 12-month period ending March 31, 2013 are up 118% over the prior year period.
In the first quarter of the year, EXTENSION also saw a significant increase in deal size compared to the same time last year. The average selling price of its award-winning solutions rose by 67% in Q1 2013 over Q1 2012.
EXTENSION's Chief Executive Officer, Todd Plesko, said "Our record growth is the result of increased investment into our sales and channel resources in 2012. We are now focusing on growing our customer base and enabling select partners. Of all of our growth metrics this past period, I am most proud that our average selling price grew tremendously and that we have two new partners with large and profitable sales. This indicates that the value proposition offered by our EHR-extender (EHR-e) is resonating, and our partners are having more success in selling an enterprise vision for alarm management and secure messaging as one unified solution. It's an exciting time in healthcare communications and our partners are experiencing strong financial success by selling EXTENSION®."
Today, more than 130 hospitals representing 13 national health systems are using EXTENSION's nursing and physician communication solutions. In Q1 2013, EXTENSION added 12 new hospitals to its national customer list including VA Northern Indiana Health Care Systems (NIHCS) located in the company's home state.
According to Josh Mahler, EXTENSION's Chief Operating Officer, "We are very proud of all that we are accomplishing here in Indiana. Our solutions are being deployed in various acute-care settings across the state. It's an amazing feeling to know we are improving the lives of Indiana patients and caregivers." Mr. Mahler added, "It's also exciting to see how we are impacting the local community. We have had tremendous internal growth and now employ more than 75 people, of which more than 30 are based right here in Fort Wayne and surrounding areas."
